Hanoi War Sites Tour

8.30 - 11.00am: Begin your day by immersing yourself in the rich history and legacy of Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum located in Ba Dinh Square. This visit offers a comprehensive understanding of Ho Chi Minh's life, his pivotal role in Vietnam's history, and the symbolism surrounding his mausoleum. It's a tribute to the revered leader and a key starting point for your exploration of Hanoi's historical sites.

After visiting the mausoleum, explore the serene gardens surrounding the complex. Adjacent to the mausoleum is Ho Chi Minh's stilt house, a simple residence where he chose to live rather than the grand presidential palace. The stilt house provides insights into Ho Chi Minh's modest lifestyle.

Next, visit the nearby One Pillar Pagoda, a historic Buddhist temple built in the 11th century. Admire the unique architecture of the pagoda, which stands on a single stone pillar, resembling a lotus blossom.

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Lunch Break - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to recharge for the afternoon.

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Visit Hoa Lo Prison - explore the preserved southernmost corner, view original cells, and learn about its history housing political prisoners during the French colonial period and American prisoners of war.

Around 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Long Bien Bridge - Travel to Long Bien Bridge and walk across this iconic structure over the Red River. Learn about its historical significance and role during wartime.

3:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Ly Thai To Statue and Walking Street - Head to Ly Thai To statue and explore the surrounding area. We take time to walk around to see the local life/sightseeing places in Hanoi Old Quarter and take a break at a local traditional dessert (Che Hang Can)/local coffee shop with available ice cream (if mom joins the trip)

Around 5:30 pm: Your guide will drop you off at your hotel or a location of your choice, marking the end of the tour.
