Depart Ha Noi and travel to Mai Chau, a fertile valley that's home to ethnic Thai people living in traditional wooden stilt houses. Stop for lunch with a local Thai family before hiking out to explore the surrounding villages that dot the verdant landscape.
In the afternoon, start trekking via the small villages in Mai Chau valley to discover the daily work of White Thai people who are very friendly and hospitable and learn how the locals weave the hemp fabric.

After finishing breakfast at the homestay, get in the car to travel to the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Next, drive to Cuc Phuong National Park for lunch and trekking through Vietnam’s oldest national park and largest nature reserve. Rich with biodiversity, you’ll have the chance to see a wide variety of flora and fauna including a 1,000-year-old tree, as well as endangered animals such as langurs and pangolins being rehabilitated in the park’s conservation centers.
Today, travel to Cat Ba Island where you’ll board a traditional wooden sailboat and sail into Lan Ha Bay, passing the floating villages that fringe this Jurassic-looking national park island. Kick back on the deck and watch the backdrop change as the sun dips down and jungle-topped karsts become shadows of a hundred different shapes against the twilight sky.

Wake up to a setting that feels otherworldly as you cruise among the thousands of karst islands and pillars rising up with sheer cliffs from the emerald water. Stop for a swim or kayaking before returning to Gia Luan harbor on Cat Ba Island. From there, travel back to Hanoi to catch the overnight train to Dong Hoi, where you can continue your adventure.
After arriving early in the morning in Dong Hoi, you'll be greeted by our local guide and treated to a delicious breakfast at a charming local restaurant. Following breakfast, we'll embark on an adventure to Thien Duong Cave, also known as Paradise Cave, with our designated transfer. Discovered as recently as 2005 by a local farmer and further explored by British cavers, this marvel stretches over 35 kilometers, solidifying its status as the deepest cave in Phong Nha National Park. Its exceptional beauty has earned it a well-deserved spot on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After a delightful lunch, we'll journey back to Phong Nha, where our hotel awaits for a restful overnight stay.
As the day draws to a close, cap off your Hoi An adventure with a visit to a lantern-making workshop, offering a unique opportunity to craft your own traditional lantern. Begin by sampling various Vietnamese tea varieties before selecting bamboo and silk materials to fashion your personalized lantern under expert guidance. This hands-on experience promises both education and enjoyment, ensuring you depart with a cherished memento of your time in Hoi An.
